Started in 2000 at Buxar sub-Jail by Srs. Savita CJ and Cynthia CJ and continued by sisters in Chirag. We began this ministry with literacy and counseling for the inmates. We had Celebrations of different festivals in Buxar Central Jail and Eucharistic celebration for the Christians once a month and on special occasions. We visit the homes of the poor inmates and give free legal aid to them.  The local administration was very happy with our intervention in the Jail and now Chirag is chosen as one of the NGOs to inspect the Jails and advise the authority for their better functioning. Chirag is a member of Prison Ministry India.
