CHIRAG is a voluntary organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with its registration No.590- 19194/95. It is owned by the sisters of the Patna Province of the Congregation of Jesus. In the year 1988, the sisters started living in a village staying with a poor family. Later we reached out to all the villages of Pasahara Panjayat through Bihar Education Project. Now CHIRAG is a well-established centre spread out to various districts of Bihar.
-To create a just and sustainable society that upholds the dignity of every person.
-To empower the marginalized through a right-based approach.
-To work towards the promotion of values that benefit people and the planet.
Towards a Just and Humane Society. To empower everyone who is impacted by our work by upholding the ideals of justice, love, freedom, and love.
Through Literacy centers for teenage girls and women, we brought great awareness to the villages. Through preprimary centers we inculcated in the children a desire to go to school.
Young people with drive from the nearby communities have received training and awareness-raising to work on our projects.
